Doctorate
The improvement by doctoral studies represents the third advanced university education cycle. The doctoral programme, the admission examination to the doctoral 
programme, the education programme, the public defense of the doctoral thesis and the conferment of the doctoral degree are based on the Law of education with the subsequent changes and additions, according to article 14 of Law no. 288/ June 24th 2004 and on the Rules regarding the organization and development of the doctoral university studies.
The Department “Doctoral School” was founded on October 4th 2005 by the approval of the Senate of “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iaşi and has 10 subordinate doctoral schools, among which the one from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Building Services.

The doctoral leaders are PhD. university professors, certified by the National Council of Certification of University Titles, Degrees, and Certificates of the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sports.
